The change in format of the Pravda daily has not helped sales. According to the latest data from an audit conducted by ABC SR for November 2008, the Perex publishing company’s newspaper sales were the same as in the previous months. Out of the total number of 86,662 copies, there were 59,455 sold in November. In October there were 59,429. The new format was revealed on November 18, 2008, along with a huge advertising campaign. The newspaper’s new look could have influenced sales for eleven days, and December’s results could show this. The biggest shift in sales in November compared to 2007 is the fall of the Nový Čas daily (162,258) by exactly 13,000 copies. The average fall in sales till November was 10,000 copies a month compared to the average in 2007. The daily Plus Jeden Deň was in second place with 69,240 sold. Plus Jeden Deň sold 10,283 copies daily compared to 2007. The SME daily was in third place again with a slightly worse result (63,978) than 2007, followed by Pravda.I Pg 37
