Entertainment vouchers for some of the Slovak tourist resorts have been an agenda of lobbyists for several years. Requests to introduce this tool was realized during the strategy’s formulation for travel and tourism till 2013. The lobbyists had to wait for the current economic crisis for their ideas to come to fruition, although the measure has nothing to do with the crisis. A proposal, which was presented to the Slovak Economic and Social Committee at the beginning of this month, wasn‘t passed but the Ministry of Economy (which presented the proposal), isn’t giving up. They see entertainment vouchers as a reality in the summer months. “There are still discussions regarding this matter, so let’s not precipitate things,” spokesperson of Ministry of Economy Branislav Zvara answered a question put by Trend. The question postulated was what will be reworked from the original materials. According to an available version on the government’s website, the government will, via a so-far unspecified organ under the Ministry of Economy, sell entertainment vouchers for a nominal 332 euros.
